The 2009 Z4, which starts at an MSRP of $36,700, is powered by an inline, 6-cylinder engine displacing 3.0 liters with 300 horsepower in the Z4 sDrive35i and 255 horsepower in the Z4 sDrive30i version.
The new Z4 is the first BMW roadster to protect occupants from wind and weather with a fully retractable hardtop. The two-piece, lightweight aluminum shell opens and closes at the touch of a button within 20 seconds. The innovative roof system offers outstanding acoustic and aerodynamic qualities and allows occupants to enjoy a brighter more generous space with optimum visibility.
As added safety features, the Z4 comes with high-performance brakes, Dynamic Stability Control to ensure stability on slippery surfaces and Dynamic Traction Control which drivers can activate at the touch of a button.
Inside, enjoy a premium sound system and iDrive, a control system that serves to activate all entertainment, information, navigation and telecommunication functions. Additionally, the leather in the new Z4 incorporates Sun Reflective Technology, an innovative type of leather on the seats, interior panels and steering wheel that significantly reduces the heat effect of bright sunshine.
